Help
Everything below describes exactly how the library works today.
Searching
Type a word — like “timeline”, “SWOT” or “roadmap” — or simply describe what you need, like “a 5 step roadmap for a startup pitch”, then press Enter or click Search. You need to be logged in to search; a logged-out visitor can only see a first, unfiltered page of slides.
- Slides that contain every word you typed come first. If no slide has every word, you'll see the closest matches instead, with a note saying so.
- Everyday words like “I need a slide for my…” are ignored, so a full sentence works fine.
- The number above the results shows how many slides matched.
Filtering your results
Below the search box you can narrow the results by Category, Industry, Colour and number of items.
- Each dropdown only lists choices that exist in your current results, with the number of slides next to each, so a filter never leaves you with an empty page.
- A filter applies as soon as you pick it — no need to press Search again. The other dropdowns then update to match.
- “Clear filters” removes them all at once.
- If you search for something new and your earlier filters no longer fit, they're cleared automatically and a note tells you.
Browsing by category or industry
Instead of searching, click “Browse by category” or “Browse by industry” above the search box to see the library laid out as tiles — timelines, org charts, SWOT, and so on. Click a tile to see only that type.
- Picking a tile is one at a time — it replaces whatever category or industry you had selected before, though you can still add a colour or item count on top of it.
- A “← Back” link appears once you've picked a tile, to return to the tile grid.
- Click “Show all” to see every category or industry, not just the first page of tiles.
Loading more results
Results load 24 at a time. Click “Load more” at the bottom to fetch the next 24 using whatever search or filters you last applied. When you’ve searched, the best matches come first; when you’re just browsing, slides appear as a varied mix, so searching or filtering is faster than scrolling.
Saving favorites
Tap the heart on any slide to save it. Your favorites are always on the Favorites page. Removing one asks you to confirm first, so an accidental tap can’t lose it.
Finding a slide you downloaded before
Every slide you download is listed on My downloads (on a phone: Account, then My downloads), newest first, with the date. New slides added to the library show at the top of the search page under “New this week”.
Making report slides from Excel (Report Maker)
Open Report Maker (on a phone: Account, then Report Maker). It works in 5 steps: upload your monthly Excel (or paste or type the numbers), check what it understood, edit the drafted report slide by slide (titles, points, charts, tables, action plan), choose a theme and add your logo, then download the PowerPoint. The charts and tables are real PowerPoint objects you can edit. Your file is read on your own device and is never uploaded. Free accounts download the first 3 slides with a small footer; any pass downloads the whole report with no footer. During the beta everyone gets the whole report.
Signing a PDF (free tool)
Open Sign a PDF (on a phone: Account, then Sign a PDF). Draw your signature or upload a photo of it, choose your PDF, tap where to sign, then download the signed file. Your PDF is opened and signed on your own device and is never uploaded. Tap “Save to my account” to keep your signature for next time; you can delete it there whenever you like.
Downloading a slide
Downloading needs an active SmartSearch pass. If yours is active, every slide has a “Download the .pptx” button — a real, fully editable PowerPoint file, not a picture or a PDF. Without an active pass, the button instead links to Pricing.
Your SmartSearch pass
A pass is a one-time payment that unlocks downloads for a set number of days. Browsing and searching are always free, with or without a pass. You can see your pass’s status and extend or renew it any time on your Account page.
Can't find the slide you need?
Describe it on the Requests page. If we add it to the library, you’ll get an email and see it waiting for you there, ready to download.
